“Work Hard, Have Fun, Aim High.”

Aims

We have a very clear vision for where Kingscourt School is going in this world and how it should be preparing young people. Kingscourt is built on the firm foundations of the basic skills (English and Maths) structured through whole class teaching but we also aim to be a school for tomorrow. Information technology permeates the lives of all our pupils today. They are the "Nintendo generation." A web of electronic information is spreading everywhere and the educational possibilities are endless. This information-driven world calls for new ways of teaching. We intend to make sure that none of our pupils is left behind in the technological race.

When reviewing our curriculum and technology provision we always contemplate the future and consider how we can prepare students for the world of tomorrow. Are our current instructional techniques helping students become future scientists, technologists, or service workers? Are our classroom techniques preparing students for the 21st century? How can classroom technology promote learning? What technology will the young people of today develop and use? The buildings and grounds should continue to inspire visitors and all those who live and work in them. Greater consideration will be given to the environment and local ecology in planning our curriculum. Kingscourt should be a beacon of all that is best in primary education. We will continue to take advantage of our independent status to set our own agenda and ethos in pursuit of excellence.

Our vision for the future of Kingscourt is a modern and vibrant learning environment enhanced by future technologies. We want parents to choose Kingscourt because they value what we offer. Kingscourt possesses a strongly marked individual character where personality counts for a great deal. Everyone at Kingscourt has a great commitment to show consideration, cultivate recognition and interest in the individual. We hope the building, the staff, the parents and the children of Kingscourt will continue to work together to create a special atmosphere.
