Kingscourt School was a riot of red and gold yesterday as the pupils celebrated the Chinese New Year. This year is the year of the Dragon and Year 4 gave a very comprehensive assembly to the whole school as well as to their parents and grandparents telling the origin of the animal years. 

The assembly also outlined how the Chinese people celebrate with gifts and money in red envelopes and how houses are cleaned from top to bottom before the New Year festivities begin.
