 KINGSCOURT PTA TERMS OF REFERENCE

The purpose of the Parent Teacher Association at Kingscourt is to provide a free and flexible meeting system which enables parents to consult on, discuss and represent the views of parents in areas of school development which are of interest to the wider parent body and to organise social events.

The following areas however fall outside the remit of the PTA:

• issues relating to confidentiality
• school management
• curriculum or timetabling
• staff selection and appointment
• school hours or holidays
• budget
• specific circumstances of individuals

Membership:

All Kingscourt parents and members of staff are automatically members of the PTA.  Your views and involvement are welcomed no matter how much or how little time you might have to give.  Even if you think there is nothing at all you could offer the group, by keeping abreast of what's going on, you may be surprised to find you can get involved on a small or large scale.

Meetings:

The committee usually meets twice a term and otherwise as required.  The next meeting will be held on Thursday 13th January at 8pm.
