Are there entry requirements for private nurseries?

Kingscourt Nursery

If you are considering sending your child to a private nursery, you are likely to ask the question, are there any entry requirements? The simple answer is, it depends on the school. Each nursery or kindergarten will have its own rules and processes when it comes to new applicants. The best to way to find out more about the entry requirements for the schools you are looking at is by visiting the school’s website, ordering a prospectus or preferably by attending the school’s open day.

One thing to remember is that although each school might have its own requirements for applicants, your child’s needs will be your main priority. Making sure that the school you are considering provides the support, care, educational excellence and hours of care that work for you and your family.

At Kingscourt School in Hampshire, we don’t have any academic requirements for prospective students, choosing to focus on developing a love for learning at a young age as our main priority. We welcome our subject specialist teachers to deliver fun and educational experiences, lessons including music, dance, drama, french and even pilates and yoga.

Our idyllic setting offers endless opportunities to play, explore and discover. Come rain or shine we head outdoors for discovery walks, wildlife spotting, den-building and playtime. We don’t need the sun to venture out as we have wellies, hats, gloves and scarves to keep us dry and warm while we enjoy the fresh air and exercise.

We offer morning, afternoon and full-day sessions, as well as stay and play sessions where we invite parents to join in the fun as well as baby and toddler groups. You can learn more about these sessions here.

We would love to welcome you to have a look around our school and show you what we have to offer you and your family. You can book a place on an open day here and request a prospectus here.
