Bonfire Night Goes Off with a Bang

Kingscourt’s PTA worked tirelessly to stage a spectacular Bonfire Night event on Friday 3rd November.  The garden was beautifully lit giving light to the numerous stalls which were lined up offering apple bobbing, ring doughnut on a string eating, lucky dip, willow star making, toffee apples and much more.

In the hall, families enjoyed the traditional hot dogs, cake stall and bar whilst the coffee and hot chocolate went down very well indeed.  Small children enjoyed the sparklers and were excited when the huge bonfire was lit at 6pm.

The 15 minute firework display rounded off the evening beautifully.

Headteacher, Mr Jamie Lewis said. “It is always excellent to see so many families here enjoying events at Kingscourt.  The PTA did a marvellous job meaning the evening ran smoothly and was full of all the traditional things children (and parents!) hope to see on Bonfire Night.”
