Kicking Off Christmas at Kingscourt
On a cold and frosty afternoon, Kingscourt resounded with Christmas songs and festive spirit as some very special visitors came to begin the Christmas period here at school. Two reindeer and a barn owl lived on the playground for the afternoon as each class spent time visiting them and taking photographs. Parents joined in with their children and heard each class singing Christmas songs.
During the morning, classes went Christmas shopping in our hall and then spent time in the elves’ wrapping station to get everything all ready for popping under the tree. Whilst the reindeer were being admired, the busy PTA were setting up our Christmas Fair ready for parents to browse around stalls groaning with gorgeous goodies as well as enjoying home made mince pies and refreshments.
Headteacher, Mr Jamie Lewis said, “We know the children really enjoy Christmas here at Kingscourt and we enjoy experiencing their joy and wonder with them. Our parents are very supportive of our events and the PTA are simply amazing – they work very hard to make sure we make superb lifetime memories which will remain with the children.”
