Kingscourt Christmas Kicks Off
Friday 30th November saw the beginning of the festive season here at Kingscourt as children browsed items to buy for their parents, wrapped them with the help of the Christmas elves and then enjoyed hot chocolate and gingerbread biscuits before heading outside to sing suitably seasonal songs around our glittering outdoor Christmas tree.
In the afternoon, the PTA’s superbly organised Christmas Market opened for parents and the community to browse the amazing stalls to start their Christmas shopping. Stallholders displayed fizzy festive bubbles from local vineyard, Ashdown Park, sophisticated gin in beautiful bottles from Chichester, jolly Santa sweetie cones, soft furnishing, scarves, Christmas decorations, books, tombola, mince pies and much, much more.
Organiser Mrs Helen Carroll said, “The PTA worked extremely hard to organise not only the spectacular Christmas Market but also the shopping for the children to do in the morning. So many happy shoppers browsed the stalls during the afternoon and into the evening that the atmosphere was busy and very festive and the children’s singing in the afternoon really lifted the spirits on a gloomy day.
“Thank you for coming along to support the event. We hope you enjoyed it.”
