Reception Reach New Heights!
Our Reception class challenged themselves on a wet and grey November morning this week as they headed with staff to the Go Ape in the Alice Holt forest. Each child was keen to take the Treetop Journey as they went on an aerial adventure across suspended bridges, stepping stones and obstacles before enjoying the adrenaline rush of the zip wire to finish.
Reception teacher Amanda Bembridge said, “I was so pleased that all the children were keen to get involved and to take on the challenges of the walkways through the trees. They were encouraging each other too and working brilliantly as a team. I was so proud of them as the weather certainly wasn’t kind to us.”
“The activity was superb to boost the children’s confidence in their own abilities, independence and cohesion as a group.”
