Set just outside the small village of Catherington, Kingscourt enjoys the privilege of easy transport connections whilst sitting in the heart of the countryside.
Our school hall was once the stables to the house: nowadays it plays host to our extracurricular clubs and is transformed into a theatre for our smallest performers to stage their plays in.
Our spacious grounds & gardens are used daily by classes and as a community for sports day, PTA events, cross country and whole school walks as well as many areas of the curriculum.
An exceptional education is of course one of the key things that makes Kingscourt such a great place for your child to go to school but there is much more to Kingscourt.
Our extensive extra curricular programme contributes to personal development and most importantly enjoyment. We enrich our academic curriculum throughout the year with over 23 activities, from sports clubs to natural crafts to Lego club, to suit the diverse interests our children enjoy.
Children get the chance to experience a comprehensive variety of trips to further their learning, independence and personal development.
These include local park and library visits, trips to museums and art galleries, West End theatre and other historical sites. ‘we hope to resume our extended educational visits in the future, where in the past we have visited Rome, Paris and school ski trips in the Alps.
We understand that parents lead very busy lives and can’t always be available at the usual school hours.
Before and after school care as well as Holiday Club are provided by our wraparound care provider Creative Kidz Childcare Ltd.
Breakfast (0730) and Pre-School (0800) and after school care (until 1800) are bookable directly through the Creative Kidz website. The same for Holiday Club.

Kingscourt has a long tradition of giving back, encouraging our children to develop a sense of responsibility for our local community.
Kingscourt supports a range of local charities, with dress up days, cake sales and walks. Our children regularly take part in carol singing at local care homes and food bank collections. We regularly support local, national and global charities which recently include the Mayor of Havant’s chosen charity – Hannah’s Holiday Home.
Our open events are open to all.
At Kingscourt, we take environmental issues very seriously and have a number of policies in place to reduce our carbon footprint.
Our new Nursery has solar panels as well as consciously sourced materials. Our School council regularly remind us to recycle our paper, with bins in every classroom. We collect and send used batteries for recycling and have assemblies to remind us about plastic reduction. This has included work with a local group, Final straw Foundation and David Attenborough’s Plastic Free day.
Food & nutrition
Alongside our catering partner, Thomas Franks Ltd, we have developed an excellent programme to encourage a positive attitude throughout the school of the value of a balanced diet.
We offer all children a varied and exciting series of menus using quality locally sourced ingredients that reflect current research into an optimum diet for primary school-aged children.
From time to time, the children (and staff!) enjoy special themed days as treats such as Chinese New Year, Pancake Day, American Independence Day and, of course, Christmas.
