Kingscourt enjoys the privilege of easy transport connections as well as a strong feeling of being in the heart of the countryside. Set just outside the small village of Catherington, we make much of our superb outside space. Our safe and secluded walled garden has been home to many dens over the past two decades, our children can play on our wonderful outside instruments, take a turn around our Trim Trail assault course or simply enjoy playing and learning amongst the wonderful surroundings our garden offers.
Our 20 acres of private playing fields give a wonderful sense of space and freedom to all of our pupils and parents whenever we play sporting fixtures, stage our annual whole school Sports Day, join together for charity cross-country runs, dog walks or our pre-Christmas lunch welly walk.
Although our building was built in the mid-18th century by Viscount Hood, a renowned mentor to Admiral Lord Nelson, its classrooms are fitted with the latest in technology designed to enhance our pupils’ learning and ensure that they are well equipped for our fast paced world.
We have a netball court, cricket nets, and marked out pitches for rounders, football, rugby and running.
Our school hall was once the stables to the house. Nowadays it plays host to dance lessons, gym, drama, fencing and judo clubs and it’s transformed into a theatre for our smallest performers to stage their plays in.
