Young Musicians perform for first time

Our youngest musicians performed to a large audience at our Musical Assembly this morning.  Children played short pieces of music from When the Saints Go Marching In, The Cat, What Shall We do with the Drunken Sailor to Postman Pat and Allegro.

Head of Music Mrs Joanna Stirling said, “I was very pleased with how well each child overcame any nerves they may have had and stepped up to play with such confidence in front of parents, grandparents and friends.”

Instruments played this morning included: flute, piano, clarinet, trombone, trumpet, cello, saxophone and recorder.

I was so nervous for my little boy but he, and the others, all played so well and with such quiet confidence, it was a joy to be there!
