Kingscourt Private School provides an “outstanding” quality of education to girls and boys aged up to 11. We value respect, kindness and good behaviour, as well as encouraging a spirit of adventure and developing character and resilience.
Located in the village of Catherington, between Horndean and Clanfield, Kingscourt is easily accessible from the nearby A3.
Our nursery and school is housed in a Grade II listed Georgian building and surrounded by 23 acres of private playing fields and walled garden. From nursery through Year 6, we make the most of our extensive grounds for outdoor learning, Forest School adventures, nature walks, playtime, extracurricular clubs, sport and PE.
Parent Choice
Because we are independent, we do not have a catchment area. You can choose Kingscourt nursery and day school for your child regardless of where you live. For example, families travel to us from the following areas, and others besides:
Buriton
Catherington
Charlton
Clanfield
Cosham
Drayton
Droxford
Emsworth
Farlington
Hambledon
Havant
Hayling Island
Horndean
Petersfield
Rowlands Castle
Waterlooville
Headteacher Mr Lewis and class teachers will guide and support you to select the right senior school for your child when they reach the top end of Prep (Year 5 and 6). At this stage of your child’s development you and we will know what type of secondary school will best suit them and make the most of their talents, abilities and interests. We feed a number of highly-regarded schools and very often our pupils receive scholarship awards. Click here to learn more.
Wraparound Care & Clubs
We can provide wraparound care for your child from 7:30 am until 6:00 pm each day during term time and we offer an exceptional number and variety of extracurricular clubs including fencing, horse-riding, judo, glee (performing arts), gymnastics, coding and more. Click here to learn more.
Children with Educational Health Care Plans
Children enrolled at Kingscourt are regularly monitored by our SENCO, Mrs Helen Carroll. She organises an annual Educational Health Care (EHCP) review together with parents and outside professionals who are associated with a pupil.
Prospective pupils with EHCPs meet with the Headteacher and SENCO to discuss a child’s individual needs on a case by case basis.
