Wellbeing

We work very closely with parents to maintain our high levels of pastoral care

We pride ourselves on knowing each child and their family very well.

We understand that a good education is not just about success in the classroom. We pay equal attention to our children’s happiness, sociability and feeling of belonging.

Everyone at Kingscourt Prep School learns the value of respect and consideration for others, using good manners and helping one another from a very early age.

Pastoral care takes many forms

Kingscourt Prep School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all children and expects parents, staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Class Teacher

The class teacher at Kingscourt Prep School focuses on building positive and supportive relationships with their pupils. They strive to create a safe and nurturing classroom environment where students feel valued, respected, and listened to.

Personal Development

We offer personal development programs designed to enhance students' social and emotional skills. These programmes include workshops, extra-curricular clubs, or activities aimed at fostering resilience, empathy, and effective communication.

Peer Mentoring

We implement peer mentoring or buddy systems, where older students are assigned as mentors or buddies to younger students. This initiative aims to create a supportive environment and foster positive relationships among pupils, allowing them to seek guidance, share experiences, and build a sense of belonging.

Pastoral Care Staff

Every member of staff has a dedicated approach to pastoral care, taking responsibility for providing on-going support to pupils at Kingscourt Prep School. They work closely together with parents and other professionals, to ensure pupils holistic development and well-being

Both of our children thrived at the school. Their needs have been understood and their individuality encouraged.
