A partnership of school & parents

Catherington House was built in the eighteenth century, originally as a family home to Admiral Hood, mentor to Admiral Lord Nelson, before being transformed into a school in 1995.

The founders and community of parents who had signed their children up to start at Kingscourt rolled up their sleeves and worked together to ready the building for opening.

This reflects the continued ethos of Kingscourt today; a real partnership between parents and school.

The values of kindness, resilience, respect and responsibility are very important to us and make Kingscourt the nurturing yet aspirational school it has always been.

As the Headteacher of Kingscourt Prep School, Mrs Kerrie Daunter leads with an unwavering dedication to empowering young minds and fostering a love for learning. Mrs Daunter’s commitment to excellence and belief in every child’s potential make her an exceptional leader, guiding Kingscourt Prep School toward a future of limitless possibilities.
